This multi-part, half-day employer education session is open to all NHRS participating municipal and county employers.
Module 1: Employer Audit presentation providing a general overview of employer information including: member enrollment; salary continuance; part-time employment of NHRS retirees; earnable compensation; termination forms; and common issues found during employer audits. (9-10:30 a.m.)
Module 2: Employer Reporting presentation providing training on the monthly reporting of active member wages and contributions and retiree hours and compensation including: navigating the DRS, clearing exceptions, remitting payments; and penalties for late or incorrect reporting. (10:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m.)
These presentations are geared toward individuals involved in payroll and/or human resources. Employers may attend either or both modules. NHRS staff will be on hand to discuss employer-specific questions during the break and following the conclusion of Module 2.
Please note that this session is for municipal and county employers only. A program for school employers will be scheduled at a later date. THIS IS NOT A MEMBER EDUCATION SESSION.
