There are many avenues for NHRS retirees to stay connected and engaged.

AARP New Hampshire has information and events for NH residents age 50 and older.

In addition to Medicare resources, ServiceLink – through contracts with local agencies around the state – helps individuals access and make connections to long-term services and support, access family caregiver information and support, explore options and understand and access Medicaid.

Public employee retirement organizations are a way for retirees to stay informed about retirement issues and keep connected with former colleagues:

• New Hampshire Retired Educators Association
• NH SEIU 1984 Retired Members Chapter
• NH Retired Troopers Association
• Professional Firefighters of NH

There are a number of higher education programs in New Hampshire for senior citizens to take advantage of:

• Rivier Institute for Senior Education (RISE)
• UNH Senior Citizen Tuition Waiver
• Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Granite State College
• Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Dartmouth
