Reporting Update

What Changed:

NHRS has updated employer reporting requirements due to the enactment of HB 282 (2025).

Why It Matters:

Effective January 1, 2026: Employers must report all employees' earnable compensation under the applicable salary component types (Base Pay, Comp Over Base Pay (COB), and Extra Duty Pay) if not already doing so.

Insurance Reporting Enhancements & File Formatting Updates

What Changed:

Two new reports are now available: the Employer Demographics Report (employer IDs and SAU assignments) and the Insurance Coverage Breakdown Report (current and terminated coverage rates with carrier details). Additionally, we've clarified file formatting requirements to prevent duplicate rate creation.

Why It Matters:

Insurance vendors can now easily access employer identification data and coverage rates in standardized formats. Proper file formatting ensures rate updates work correctly and prevents system duplication caused by inconsistent Collection IDs, descriptions, or formatting.
