CONCORD, NH – The New Hampshire Retirement System (NHRS, the retirement system) has added a secure document upload feature to My Account, our online portal for members and benefit recipients.

The protection of confidential communication is important to NHRS and we want to ensure your information stays private, which is why we added the document upload option to the existing ways of sending files to the retirement system.

My Account users can now submit forms and other related materials to NHRS through the secure document upload option. The following file types can be uploaded through My Account: .PDF, .DOCX (Microsoft Word), .JPG, .PNG, .TIF. Users may upload up to 10 files at a time. The total size allowed per upload is 35MB. Users will receive a confirmation email when a file upload is successful.

Instructions for using the secure document upload option are available at: https://www.nhrs.org/docs/default-source/my-account/myaccount-drop-box-instructions.pdf

My Account provides members with 24/7 access to individual information such as account summaries and balances, beneficiary designations, contact information, and Member Annual Statements. Retirees have access to year-to-date retirement benefit summaries, beneficiary designations, contact information, direct deposit status, and federal tax withholding information.

The majority of our members and retirees already enjoy the convenience and security of My Account. If you aren’t one of them, you can learn more here: https://www.nhrs.org/my-account

Members and retirees can still submit documents by mail, fax, drop-off, and email. However, when sending confidential or sensitive information via email, we strongly recommend using our free, easy-to-use secure email portal or a similar encryption tool. Information on using encrypted email is available here: https://web1.zixmail.net/s/login?b=nhrs
