For Immediate Release: October 9, 2023
Contact: PGV3DRS@nhrs.org

CONCORD, NH – Parallel Processing begins Monday, October 9. During parallel processing, the New Hampshire Retirement System (NHRS, the retirement system) is requiring employers to continue submitting their monthly active member reporting files using the current Data Reporting System (DRS), and to begin submitting their monthly active member information using the new version of the DRS, which has a different file layout.

During October and November, the current system will remain the system of record.

Employers should prioritize reporting in the current system and then submit their reporting in the new system. Files must be submitted and posted in both systems by Monday, Oct. 16. If you have any reporting issues, please contact NHRS at: PGV3DRS@nhrs.org or 603-410-3532.

Employers who submit by XML file upload and remain unable to generate a file using the new file layout should email NHRS at: PGV3DRS@nhrs.org

Links to the current DRS and the new DRS are active and available here.

Additional training resources and instructions are available here.

The retirement system has created a page to post updates on parallel processing, as well as answers to questions we have received from employers. This page will be updated throughout parallel processing, so check back frequently for updates.

As many of you are aware, the retirement system began the process of upgrading our software in 2019, moving from the current PensionGold Version 2 (PGV2) to PensionGold Version 3 (PGV3). The employer DRS is a component of PensionGold. Parallel processing is the only way to ensure that PGV3 is working as expected and generating the same information and calculations as PGV2. If the retirement system didn’t have a parallel processing period and a programming error was identified a few weeks after the switchover, all your data would have to be resubmitted and the timely delivery of benefits, refunds, and other processes, could be jeopardized.

NHRS understands parallel processing entails extra work for our participating employers and we thank you in advance for your efforts.
