Accessing Your Statement
If you haven’t set up a My Account yet, now is a great time to do so. Don’t worry, signing up is easy. Visit the retirement system’s website for step-by-step instructions.
What to Review When Your Statement Arrives
NHRS will send another email when the statements are available, but here are some things to think about when viewing your statement and your My Account:
- Beneficiary Information - Please verify that your designated beneficiary is current and correct. Consider updating this information after major life changes like marriage, divorce, having children, or if your beneficiary passes away. To update your beneficiary, download the Beneficiary Designation form from the forms page of the NHRS website and submit it through My Account or by mail.
- Service Credit - Please check your years and months of credited service. This information directly impacts your future retirement benefit amount. If you have questions about your service credit, please call our office for support.
- Personal Information - Review your name, birth date, address, and phone number for accuracy. Contact your employer directly to make any changes to your personal information.
