NHRS fiscal year 2023 employer contribution rates, which take effect July 1, 2022, are unchanged from the current fiscal year 2022 rates.
Employer contribution rates are set every two years pursuant to RSA 100-A:16, III. The rates are based on a biennial actuarial valuation, which is a model of expected liabilities based on reasonable actuarial assumptions, including the rates of investment return and payroll growth, eligibility for the various classes of benefits, and the projected life expectancies of members and retirees.
Employer rates for fiscal years 2024 and 2025 will be certified by the NHRS Board of Trustees this summer. Employers will receive a notification once the rates are available.
