The New Hampshire Retirement System (NHRS) has updated the Employee List Report with the addition of two new columns: Plan and Tier B+ Effective Date. All employers will benefit from the new Plan column, which clearly identifies each member’s Plan (Tier – Group – Subgroup). The second column, Tier B+ Effective Date, will appear only for employers with Group II Tier B members and will display the date each active member will be eligible for Tier B+ benefits. These enhancements are intended to help employers better understand and track member eligibility information. As Group II Tier B members approach their July 1 Tier B+ Effective Date, NHRS will notify employers with a series of communications starting with a 60-day prior notice, followed by a 30-day reminder, and ending with an as-of day reminder. 

Note that a member's Group II Tier B+ effective date may be a future date and is subject to change following member record reviews or audits by NHRS. All members listed as "Active" are considered full-time employees. 

A new HB 282 Quick Reference section has also been added to the Employer Resource Guide, providing an overview of key Group II Tier B+ information, eligibility timelines, and reporting guidance. The Employer Resource Guide can be accessed here. 

Employers should review both the updated Employee List Report and revised Employer Resource Guide as part of their regular reporting and record review processes.
